Thai Language Course

This program will increase your Thai language skills needed for your work or private.

The program concentrates on a mixture of skills including grammar, speaking, listening, reading and writing. Classes will follow one of the leading course books adapted to the needs of the students in the class. The emphasis is on providing the students with a strong fundamental understanding of the Thai language to improve communication skills.

You will develop your language skills through stimulating and realistic communicative activities. This course is suitable for a broad range of students, from absolute beginners to advanced learners. Most students integrate Professional Program into a full time program.

The next big challenge is to master the new sounds in the Thai language. Grammar is also quite different than that of Western languages. Finally, the new student must master new vocabulary. However, without mastering the tones, sounds, and grammar, the vocabulary alone would not allow the student to attain fluency in Thai.

Therefore, every day the teacher will lead the students through drills and exercises that will lead to mastery of the tones and new sounds. New vocabulary will also be introduced but unlike some courses that structure the course according to vocabulary per occasion, that is for greetings, shopping, or parties, this course teaches vocabulary that reinforces the sounds and tones being learned and as the basis for learning grammar so that the students can quickly construct sentences themselves. After a while, the student will acquire new vocabulary as needed and be able to pronounce and use the new words correctly.

Although each day's lesson will depend on the students' progress and special needs to some degree, the following schedule will be used:

1. Introduction of new vocabulary.
2. Pattern drills to learn tones, sounds and grammar
3. Short dialogues, introducing practical applications of the new words.
4. Tone drills.
5. Vowel and consonant drills.
6. Grammar drills.
7. Learning Thai numbers.
8. Basic conversation.
9. Home work

We recommend that you study with us for at least 1 day per week, 3 hour per day, and that you spend at least a half an hour per day for reviewing and studying your lessons. However, we realize that some people have more time to study Thai and others less; we will help you design a study plan that fits your schedule.

We encourage our students not to speak English with us or to spend a lot of time asking questions. JUST DO IT. You can and will learn to speak Thai if you follow our method. Many of our students have used this method successfully and now speak Thai fluently. Study, practice and patience along with this method will soon allow the student to speak Thai fluently.

Spending your free time on Saturdays and Sundays, which are holidays in Pattaya, just 3 hours a week is worth the investment for living in Thailand and learn the language and about the culture of the country you live in.

Don’t forget that for this course, it is our responsibility to provide you a non-immigrant ED visa for 1 year to make your stay in Thailand legal and smooth throughout the course period.
